"Wonderful Ally"

I recently purchased a home in the San Fernando Valley. My agent, Anakatrina Waltz, was a really wonderful ally throughout the process. I use the word "ally" quite deliberately, as she went above and beyond the role of a business-oriented partner with skin in the game. House-hunting is a painful, sometimes stressful process, and the entire real estate ecosystem is incredibly distasteful. Buyers can't help but think that everybody involved is out only for themselves.

Anakatrina was a great advocate for me, watching out for my interests, and making sure I didn't waste time considering houses that really didn't meet my criteria, or that might reflect a compromise I would come to regret. One example: early in the roughly 4-month house-hunting process, I saw what appeared to be an ideal home that "checked the boxes" I had set out as minimum criteria -- especially the wonderfully landscaped backyard. With Anakatrina's help, I made an offer, and after the usual round of counteroffers, it was accepted. At the inspection, I had an opportunity to spend a few hours in the home and noticed that it really would not have been entirely suitable. I had been so seduced by the back yard that I hadn't noticed how small the kitchen was, and how much physical modification would have to be made to make the inside suitable for me. Anakatrina was very supportive of my decision to cancel escrow on that home and helped reassure me that I would get my earnest deposit back.

There are other examples I can cite of her helpfulness, but suffice to say that Anakatrina found the home that met my criteria, helped with the offer and counter-offer process, helped through all the steps of escrow, offered me referrals for workers who could address the findings from the inspection, and reassured me that she would be available even after I moved in to help answer questions or concerns that might come up as I familiarized myself with my new home.

Anakatrina was invaluable throughout this process, and I will always be grateful for her help and support.

"Professional, Courteous, and Empathetic."

First, let me say, you can't go wrong with The Barrentine Group. Professional, courteous, and empathetic. No bait and switch with this realty company. My real estate agent, Anakatrina Waltz (AK), first started our journey off with a face to face or Zoom consultation.

She went over everything that would take place, down to the most minute detail. She also discussed variables, assurances, protections, and contingencies you have in place as a buyer. Being a first-time homeowner comes with some fears and anxieties. After the initial consultation was over, I felt at ease and that she would fight tooth and nail for me, AND SHE DID!!! AK walked the journey with me, always reigning me back in when my eyes got bigger than my budget. She has a background in property management so she can spot a quick flip, cheaply done property.

Often, when you get down process of making an offer, expediency is the weapon of choice. Not only are you making offers to the seller but you're also in competition with other buyers. AK had offer and counteroffer documents in my email so fast, it was astounding. We were never late to the party. The process went down just like she explained in the consultation.

I'm not going to mislead you. Not all home buying processes go as smoothly as mine did, but I can tell you one thing, if I were in a jam, I wouldn't want anyone in my corner except The Barrentine Group.

"Knowledgeable, Professional, and Proactive"

In early March 2021, because of a new job opportunity, my daughter and I decided to look for a two-bedroom, two-bath condo for her in the LA area, commuting distance to Hollywood.

After having done some research on reputable real estate agents and brokers, I had a consultation with Silvia and John of the Barrentine Group (fka Red Real Estate Group). I found this consultation to be particularly productive because, in a brief period of time, I was able to better understand some of the local market practices and the current real estate market trends of Los Angeles. It built my trust and confidence in their ability to help us. More importantly, it gave both of us the opportunity to connect on a personal level with both John and Silvia, an important part of establishing a productive and successful working relationship.

We had a long wish list attached to this goal and shared it with Silvia who was our primary point person throughout the process. "The Gold Standard"

A "FANDERFUL" EXPERIENCE! John, Chuck, Sharon and Mike made me feel as if I were their only client. They listened and responded to my concerns. They went above and be-yond what was expected! "Could Not Have Been Better"

Our experience could not have been better! From the moment we hired the Barrentine Group to sell our home, we felt cared for and had confidence we were in the best possible hands. " The Best Choice"

I knew moments into my first meeting with the Barrentine Group team they were the best choice to sell my property. I'd met the Barrentine Group agent years ago at an open house and was so impressed I kept his information and when it came time to sell my property, reached out. He'd since moved back east (still with the company), but John and Chuck stepped right in with the same impressive knowledge and energy.

Whether it was arranging for the different inspections and contractors to advise on fixes and showing aspects--John, Chuck, and the rest of the team were there every step of the way. They were extremely thorough and efficient while being thoughtful and accommodating to my family's schedule and those of the tenants. The Barrentine Group team is incredible.

We had the opportunity to work with one of the Barrentine Group's Buyer Agents and their Client Care Manager. Let me tell you; they have GREAT communication within their team, thus making the whole purchasing process for us much faster and easier. They respond promptly and if you ask them a question and they don’t know, they track down the information in order to give you the right answer.

Another thing we liked about the Barrentine Group; they have systems and procedures in place to ensure the ESCROW process goes smoothly. Another thing I would like to add; our agent did a great job in negotiating and getting us the best price for the property, very thankful for that. We did have a lot of paperwork to e-sign and many questions to ask, but all were answered in a kind and professional manner. For all these reasons, we highly recommend the Barrentine Group! "A Wonderful Experience"

John and Chuck are knowledgeable, passionate, honest, they know their neighborhoods, the laws, the codes, the schools, all of it. They listened to my concerns, answered all my questions, and then answered them all again. They are patient and truly care about making their clients happy. We ran into some issues with overseas wiring from the buyers and the Barrentine Group stayed on top of it every second and represented me beautifully. I hated leaving my home of 21 years but through it, they remained upbeat and were a calming presence. They're also just a lot of fun. I've bought and sold several properties over the years, and so many real estate agents say what you want to hear to get you as a client and then turn out to be tremendous disappointments. This was not the case with the Barrentine Group. They're the only agents I have ever written a review about and the only ones I would ever recommend. And I've worked with a lot of them.

Like many first-time home buyers, I initially thought that I could find a home to buy on my own using listing sites. I was wrong. After an incredible amount of frustration and spinning my wheels trying to figure out how to purchase a property, I called the Barrentine Group. "If You're Serious About Selling Your House"
